Alisal River Course - September 19th
We have scheduled a one day away tournament at the Alisal River Course in Solvang on Sunday Sept 19th with the first tee time at noon. The fee for the tournament is $88 and includes green fees, cart and range balls. This is meant to be a fun day of golf with a relatively small field (24 to 30 players) and the format is individual play for skins. Road Trip in Aug
Sign up today! An away trip has been set up to play Bishop Country Club in Bishop on Saturday and Sunday, August 14th and 15th. This will be a 2-man Best Ball tournament. Cost for the two days is just $195 which includes dinner Saturday night, breakfast Sunday morning, green fees, prize fund, cart, and range balls for both days. Mike Rogers 1950 - 2010
On May 15, 2010, Mike Rogers longtime River Ridge Men’s Golf Club Member and Club Past-President passed away after the battle with cancer. Mike was known for his iconic pink shorts (he always claimed they were faded red), visor, 24oz Bud Light, friendly smile, and sense of humor. In addition to being President, Mike served as Vice-President, Entertainment Director, and ran Away Tournaments. Mike had three hole in ones at River Ridge and was the 2008 President’s Cup Champion. Mike was a Southern Gentleman who exemplified the best in Golf and its enduring values.

He is survived by his loving wife of forty years, Lana Cawood Rogers; his one and only endearing son, Chris Rogers and daughter-in-law, Kim Rogers of Southlake, Texas, with his pride and joy, his two grandchildren, Zane and Haley Rogers. Additionally, he is survived by his brother, Jerry Rogers of Springdale, Ark., and his brother, David Rogers and sister-in-law, Donna Rogers of Palmetto, Fla., and his sister, Melissa Rogers of Steamboat Springs, Colo.

RRMGC Scholarship Awarded to local high school senior.
This year your Board of Directors decided to award a $1,000 scholarship to a local high school boys or girls senior golf team member. After reviewing the submissions, the Board selected Jonathanne Calupe of Channel Islands High School. Jonathanne plans on attending UC Irvine in the fall. His GPA is 4.07 and ranks 21 out of 673 in his class. His father is a mail processor and mother is a bank teller. He played varsity golf all four years at CIHS. Hunter Ranch Away Tournament in Oct
Mark your calendars. Our annual pilgrimage to Hunter Ranch in Paso Robles has been scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, October 2nd & 3rd. This will be a 2-man Best Ball tournament.
