Oxnard City Golf Championship
The 24th Annual Oxnard City Golf Championship will be held on both the Vineyard and Victoria Lakes Courses on Saturday and Sunday July 18th and 19th. There will be both regular and seniors (over 50 eiligible) divisions of the tournament. Note from the Prez Mike Rogers
Starting in July, RRMGC is again having a nine hole skins game with dinner & our monthly board meeting afterwards for all interested members or potential members. There will be a $20 fee that will include green fee, cart, skins and the meal. We will have a shotgun start at 5 PM on Thursday July 9th and on August 14th. This will be some practice to prepare for the Oxnard City and the RRMGC club championship coming up in July.

I have scheduled our annual trip up to Paso Robles to play Hunter Ranch for the weekend of October 3rd & 4th. The format is our typical two man best ball tournament. Im sure I can find you a partner to win it with if needed. Guest are welcome as long as they have an established handicap. Several of us bring the wives along & Im willing to get a tee time the girls if they are interested. Hunter Ranch is a great golf course in the beautiful Paso wine country and several of the group goes wine tasting after playing. Just dont expect to find your favorite boxed wine in one of these places. Please give me a call at 805-746-9666 or send me an email if you are interested or to enter.

With the Victoria Lakes course open this year, our new feature of having a Saturday and Sunday monthly tournament has been very successful. The number of players has been about what we had expected but could grow. Please let your buddies know about the added opportunity to play in a competitive event. Membership has increased this year and mostly due to this new feature. Weve tried to mix up the formats each month so there is something for everyone. Please contact me or any of the RRMGC board members with comments and suggestions to improve our club.

New Handicap Vendor for SCGA in 2010
The SCGA has chosen to use the Golf Handicap Information Network (GHIN) service for its handicap vendor beginning January 1, 2010. This move will end the long standing relationship the SCGA has had with the Integrated Data Company (IDC). The SCGA has put together a Q&A list in anticipation of your questions.
